Long Island Man Charged With Storing Fireworks In Trailer

Thousands of dollars worth of fireworks being stored in a trailer in Bohemia were seized by Suffolk County Police, who charged a man from Lake Ronkonkoma will illegally housing them in advance of a holiday party.

Following Crime Stoppers tips reporting fireworks being stored in a trailer outside a Keyland Court business, the Suffolk County Fifth Precinct Crime Section launched an investigation, which led to the arrest of Anthony Autera, 43, at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19.

Police said that Autera, who was an employee at the business told investigators he had been using the trailer to store the fireworks for a Fourth of July party.

According to police, the fireworks Autera was storing had a value of approximately $2,000. The fireworks were seized by police and Autera was charged with unlawfully dealing with fireworks. Autera was issued a Field Appearance ticket to be arraigned at a later date.
